Lagging Rope is designed to fit in between the surroundings, fire backs and areas close to a heat source that may require expansion.

To fix the lagging rope to a vertical surface, use a heat resistant fixative sparingly to just one side of the rope in order to keep it in place. Compress the rope when bringing the two surfaces together to fill a gap, as pushing firmly into the area to be filled will allow the rope to expand when pressure is taken off. Repeat the process until gap is full, and if necessary, to improve the aesthetic of the rope fixture a skim of Fire Cement can be applied to the filled in areas.
